Sunflower Garden - in batiks!

This morning I finished a batik version of my Sunflower Garden pattern. I really liked the way it came out, and along the way, I made a few changes in technique. The original was only quilted using fancy stitches from my sewing machine, but this time, I used wavy stitches for the applique, then quilted the blocks with free-motion. More fancy stitches were added after the blocks were put together.

Tote pattern now available

The Teriffic Tote pattern is finished! There are five pocket designs which you can choose from - grapes, cherries, tulips, a crab and a railroad crossing sign. I've posted pictures of the totes and blocks previously, so if you'd like to see them, just scroll down a bit further.

Teriffic Tote - Pastel Tulips

Here is a totally diferent look from the same tote design. The tulips are from pastel dot and check fabrics that coordiinate with the main fabric. The floral trim was couched onto the handle webbing before it was attached to the tote.

Teriffic Tote - cherry and another crab tote

I thought the crab needed a better background, so after finding the water and rock fabric, I made another tote, and I think I like this one better!

I really love this cherry fabric, so of course I had to create a cherry pocket to go with it. So far this is my favorite tote!
