What's for dinner?

Here's my project for the first week in Pam Allen's "Think like an Artist class at Quilter's Threads. I had no idea I'd end up with a cat when I started going through my black and white fabrics and cutting the background pieces, but there was this fabric printed with cats, and off I went trying to create this one. Unfortunately, I'm not really a cat person - I'm a dog person, so while I started with an idea, it has taken a lot of experiments and research to get this cat to look normal. Well, as normal as a black and white cat made by me is going to get right now. This project has many things that are out of my comfort zone, but I'm hanging in there and learning by doing. Stitching is next, so stay tuned to see how it looks when it's finished.

Hi Lynn,

I was so happy to see that you were in the Think Like an Artist class. I enjoyed watching your little cat quilt progress. I don't know how you are taking and teaching an online class simultaneously- good luck! I am loving TLAA class and learning so much.
