Pear quilt in progress

Here's the watercolor background that I'm starting with, all the pieces are raw edge, fused to muslin. If it looks familiar, I'm still trying to use up the huge bag of blue and green strips that were cut several years ago for my Woodinville Wine Country quilt (and there are still many more).
This pear was cut from fabrics that already had fusible applied to the back, although at this point I'm trying to decide if I will do applique or use paint (I'm really into paint right now, but will see what works best, and maybe it will be a combination).

I love the background, and can't wait to see how the pears will develop. But I am especially interested in seeing the fabulous quilting designs you will create!
